Graphic Design is the most difficult hurdle I have had to jump. In the beginning before I had started the Graphics program my goal was to combine my love for art and painting into a more practical way to make a living. When I found myself knee deep in math, I soon realized there was much more to graphic design than I had ever imagined. Hard work is frequently used now in my description of the graphic design world; it is no joyride at first. The further I advanced into this strange new world the more I fell in love with it. The best part of this profession is the finished product—when you hold in your hands a tangible representation of the design that you created. After two years I feel like the mass of information I have acquired will set me on my way to become an established graphic designer. The Graphic Communications program has given me the tools to channel my creativity and artistic ability into a productive career.
